I have two. One I signed up for was Coors beer and all they sent was a sticker that said Coors on it. The other is the Lil’ Critters vitamin birthday club. They send something in the mail for the kids for their birthday, but it isn’t anything a kid would want. I would rather they send a coupon for money off.

None of the freebies from this site have been frustrating. That being said, the most frustrating freebie I’ve tried to get are the ones that require signing up for so many different trial periods of products and services, then you fill out surveys and finally, they want credit card numbers. NO THANKS!!

My most frustrating was a tobacco papers freebie. My husband smokes ( I hate it) and was trying to find a way to reduce the cost. So I saw this freebie, and figured ir would be cheaper to roll his own (plus maybe make him cut back.) The package wasa hoax. There was nothing in it, and it had a discription that included: completely transparent, no oder, self sticking…. etc.. What a waste of cardboard! I hope they enjoyed themselves.

I have signed up for samples that say they will have a brochure and coupon, then no coupon. Or a kit that says it comes with a sample CD and no cd arrives. The worst was a Bath and Body works full size product offer from a third party. I didn’t have to do any trial offers, but did have to sign up for their newsletter. I never got my product, but now I get e-mails from all kinds of companies tied in with this site. I tried to unsubscribe from some of them, but really haven’t had any luck with a few. GRRRRRRRRRRRR!

The most frustrating freebie for me has to be perfume! I Always get excited if I sign up for perfume and then I get a post card with a stick over it so you can open up and smell…Not even a tiny little plastic break open kind of tube to try it out on me..I can’t really ‘try on’ a postcard!

I have requested several freebies, such as makeup samples, etc. and have been dissapointed that upon receipt, the sample was busted or already open so it had to go straight to the trash.

I would have to say most of them are frustrating because they take so long to get, but then again I’m not a very patient person. If I had to pick one it would be the perfume cause how can you get a nice smell out of inch by inch paper towel type a thingy majigy?! All in all I love this site!!!!

Mine is recent, I found a site said they were giving out free samples of nutritional drinks. I buy these all the time so I went to sign up. They had about a 15 min survey before you could order it and once you hit submit they say, we have to charge $3.00 per sample bottle, huh, some sample, I can buy them at my grocer’s for cheaper!

The most disappointing samples would have to be perfume. I do not even sign up for them anymore. You wait on them in the mail for weeks and then when they finally arrive all it is, is a piece of paper with a sticker on it and you lift it and smell the fragrance. You can not even try it on for yourself to see if you would even enjoy wearing that sent!

The most frustrating samples are the ones where you go thru all these “steps”, only to find out that if you dont complete a “sponser” offer, you get NOTHING!!

I agree with those that mentioned the perfume samples. You never know whether it is going to be a real sample, or just one of those paper thingies you can get in any magazine. Not worth the time it takes to fill out the form.

The most frustrating are the type that tell you something is free if you fill out this survey and 20 minutes after filling out the survey, when they have all of your personal information, you get an error message… Coincedence? I think not!

I sent for a free Shrek bowl that was offered on the back of a Crispix box. I paid 1.99 s&h. I placed this order in JULY and as of now, no bowl! I sent an email to them and was told it can take at least 12 weeks. So has my check cleared? You better believe it! Right away! I emailed them again and they said it was sent early August but can take a month to arrive. What shipping company do they use? Next time I will take the 1.99 and buy 2 bowls at Dollar Tree! Good thing my daughter is only 2, she forgot about it a long time ago! I wonder if the people at Kelloggs are up to something….:)
Thanks freegrabber!

When the link does not work, sometimes their fault and sometimes freegrabber’s fault, or I get there too late and the offer is over. I do like the fact that this is a real site and not one of those fake ones where the links require you to purchase items to get something free.

Mine was the Dove every woman can be beautiful campaign where you were supposed to get a sample of their deodorant and a tank top. First I was disappointed that “every” only meant women up to a size large, completely eliminating many women from the start, which just annoyed me. I jumped through all their hoops and finished filling out the information to get signed up, only to later receive an email saying sorry, the compaign had ended, but here’s a coupon. I felt so scammed, giving them all my information for pretty much nothing in the end.

I stopped signing up for the perfume samples.
I get so sad when, like a previous poster said, it is only a postcard with not much to it.
Grrrr…..
So, I just don’t sign up for the perfumes anymore…I try them out at Macy’s.
Have a nice day everyone!

I was all excited about a Rachel Ray cookbook offer. I love to find new exciting meals and I sometimes watch Rachel’s show. So for the free cookbook you had to write about an exciting vacation. I put a lot of thought into it and tried to compose a great story. The promotion was to get submissions for a book she was writing or something. Well no matter what you were supposed to get a cookbook for taking time to send a story. It has probably been a year ago….and you guessed it…no cookbook…WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

I signed up for this freebie that was supposed to give me a book. Instead, they sent me a FedEx package with about 200 posters in all different languages talking about how you should get your eyes checked (anybody want some?), and posters about sports and stuff. In the box, I also got a stack of books about sports safety, and this one huge book that talks about how to become a good coach. I’m not the coach of any team of any sort, so this is literally useless to me. Maybe I can use it for scrap paper, or something.

the most frustrating are the ones that you get your freebie from and then just keep getting tons of junk mail from. I got a free lighter from camel cigarettes but now i keep getting adds from them. Wouldn’t be so bad if was a smoker maybe.
